We are encouraging proposals for presentations and panelists at the GlobusWORLD Grid Security Workshop to be held following GlobusWORLD. We are seeking participation from academia, research, and industry.
Topics suitable for presentation include (but are not limited to):
* How emerging security technologies could be applicable to the Globus Toolkit and OGSA.
* Research involving Grid Security or Globus Toolkit Security.
* Integration of the Globus Toolkits into existing architectures.
* Experiences and lessons learned in deploying or using Globus Toolkit security
* Interesting application uses for Globus Toolkit security
Presentations will be 20 minutes long. Proposals for presentations should include a one paragraph abstract of the presentation and should be sent to sec-workshop@globusworld.org by December 13th. Abstracts will be evaluated and notification sent by December 20th.
We are also planning two panels in the security workshop, described below. Panelists are sought for both panels. Those wishing to be considered as panelists should send email to sec-workshop@globusworld.org including a one paragraph position statement by December 13th. Selected panelists will be notified by December 20th.
Panel 1: Are emerging Web Services Security specifications applicable to Grids?
Panel 2: Identity - should it be federated? Global? Other?
You may propose both a presentation and a panel, but please indicate your preference between the two if we need to make a choice.
While we are unfortunately unable to cover travel expenses or workshop registration for presenters or panelists, we have limited funds available to assist those who would not be able to attend without it. Please indicate in your presentation or panel abstract if you require assistance, and we will do our best.
