NM-WG call notes 26 October 2004

I. Agenda
   * progress on the new schemas from Martin and Dan
   * futher discussion of the major topics raised during the last 
couple of
     days, i.e. stabilising the current schemas, and inclusion of 
transaction IDs
   * discussion of outstanding issues to allow stabilisation of the 
current
     schemas by Christmas

II. Attending:
   * Eric Boyd, Jeff Boote, Martin Swany, Jason Z., Brian Tierney, 
Tanya Brethour, Dan Gunter, (sorry I know I missed some people)

III. Discussion
   * Martin & Dan discuss the "new" schemas
     o Martin explains the use of XML namespaces in the examples sent 
out to the group
     o ..at some length :-)
     o Martin says how namespaces define schemata, thus allowing 
extensibility and flexibility
     o Introduces idea of repository: capital "V" validation, done as 
part of a WG.
     o Jeff: Need an "approved" namespace?
     o Martin: exactly
     o Eric: need "developer's cookbook"
     o Martin promises version control w/ "web-browsability"
