GCE REMINDER: Community Practice Summaries

All-

It's getting close to the Global Grid Forum meeting, and word
has it that we expect a record attendance. I hope to see many
of you there.

I am extending the due date for the Community Practice Summaries
to February 21st. It is hard to believe that there are nearly
60 members of this list, and only 6 or 7 people believe that their
work merits a CP write-up. Perhaps you all misunderstood the intent
of this effort. Or, perhaps you are as busy as I am :)

We need input from all of you in order to prepare a summary of what
is considered to be the CURRENT practices of the GCE community.
This is not a special group of invited writers...we seek input from
all of you. So, please consider contributing data on your project.
The CP template is very simple, and is not intended to be a full paper.
The current list can be viewed at:

   http://www.computingportals.org/

just follow the link to the CP summaries for instructions and
examples of what a CP summary looks like. Please mail your CP documents
to me (mthomas@sdsc.edu).

We intend that these CP summaries will provide a snapshot of
where GCE's are right now. The intent is to continually update
and evaluate these. Please follow the template, since we will
need to be able to synthesize the data for our meeting in March.
These are also intended to be brief, not full papers :)

Please forward this email to other projects which you feel might
be of interest to the GCE working group.

Mary

PS: Don't forget to look at the growing list of GCE terms at
  http://www.sdsc.edu/~mthomas/GF/terms/gce-terms.cgi
take a moment to see if you can add to this list. We want to get
EVERY term that you think is important, even if it might belong
with another working group. We are trying to compile a master
list for all WG's to use.
