R: GGF7 Plans for GCE
Dear Mary & all,
NICE and INFN would like to report on the current status and possible
development/convergence of the GENIUS Grid Portal, widely used in the
European DataGrid project and included in the upcoming CHEP2003.
To have a look at GENIUS, https://genius.ct.infn.it/ or
http://www.enginframe.com/genius/
Do you think this topic could contribute to the discussions of GCE in Tokyo,
on the subject "Portal technologies"? Would it be possible to have a time
slot for a presentation on the subject?
Regards,
Andrea

Subject: GGF7 Plans for GCE
All -
Time to finalize plans for the GCE activities for GGF7 in
Tokyo. I have attached the summary slides from GGF6.
Based on that, we are suggesting that we discuss the
following topics
> 1. Workflow: possible discussion or more short talks
especially of interest to have PacRim talks
> 2. JetSpeed portal infrastructure
> 3. GCE shell
> 4. GGF/GCE Info docs:
- Workflow summary (Mehrotra)
- Grid Jobs (Haupt doc formalized into info doc)
Note that our plans for a Workflow workshop are continuing but
we feel that more time is needed and this workshop most likely
will be held this summer.
Please let me know what other items or emerging GCE technologies
that you would like to discuss.
Mary
